All depends on the scenario we invent in our heads I guess? 

Are owners more likely to need to defend themselves from Zombies or other preconceived enemies or are they having to get their bike, truck or car towed or worked on, kids left in vehicle or have their vehicle broke into when they are not in arm's reach? So in effect which tragedy is more likely to happen in real life?

Every time I see this thread pop up I immediately think of a gun mounted in the Tour Pak (trunk) ala James Bond to discourage tailgaters and other miscreants.

Haird, ya need a couple coming from da front turn signals to capture the ones coming at ya from the side streets,driveways,parking lots etc, & they have to be pivotal.
