Tell me about Street Cannons
« on: February 15, 2017, 05:27:54 PM »

Seeking some clarification on the HD Street Cannon mufflers for my soon to land 2017 CVO SG.  It is my understanding these are straight through mufflers without baffles or restrictions.  Is that correct? To open up the exhaust (read no cat and I am not worried about warranty issues) will a new head pipe and these mufflers accomplish that? On my 120 2006 SG I had a Borzilla pipe on it and am done with the noise!  My 2015 CVO with totally stock exhaust sounded fine to me for reference but would like to open the exhaust on my new 2017.  Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Does that system lose the cat?  That is my goal in exhaust change. Thanks for the reply.

Exactly what I desire.  I would think a 117 with that exhaust would be a very satisfying ride without the hassles that are usually associated with typical performance builds.  I must be getting lazy in my old age, I just want a plug, play and enjoy system without issues.  Thanks again.

Street Cannons have no cats in them.  They are a straight-thru design with a mesh-like baffle.  About 2" ID on the baffle.  Sound pretty mellow with the OE header but can bark with a catless header.

In the slip on mufflers, yes

SE High flow system with head pipe  is a different set up all together

Know they are bigger diameter than the stock 4" muffler.  They are 4.5".  Doesn't sound like much, but my wife has scrapped hers twice while following me, and I have not hit my 4".  They are straight through, and have a deep sound with the cat.  I'm sure they would sound great with out it.

Thanks for that information.  I suspect they would fit pretty well with my riding style. Appreciate the replies.
