Actually UglyJohn I believe its a 5/8 hole you have to drill    It is much cleaner to just borrow the bit from someone vs. the 20 bucks for the bit.  Or you can just poke a bunch of holes and wollow them out.

I have used an Escort purchased from stealthhog.com, along with a H.A.R.D. system. Under the fairing, I used velcro to stick the Escort and the HARD transmitter to the top of the radio, the transmitter sends a signal to a reciever in my helmet, it really could not work better. The Escort works just as well from behind the fairing as it would from behind a windshield. Check it out at stealthhog.
