Telescopic front end onto a 2008 Springer , has anyone done this already ?

I know it will have been done before now , just looking for input and hints and tips from anyone who has done so.

I know I'll need triple trees / forks / front fender / front caliper / headlight etc.

Maybe wheel and disc also ( tho' I'd like to keep the stock 18 inch front wheel to match the rear if at all possible !)

My Springer front end for now at least is cactus , there appears to be no repairing of the stock Springer forks in Australia.

I have located a 2013 Softail Standard front end complete , new bike take off ( The guy had fitted a SPRINGER front end from new WTF ??)

Springer has a 3/4 axle , donor will have a 25mm no doubt , ways and hints to get round that ?

I'm assuming the same headstock bearing arrangement and an "easy" straight swap there.

Hopefully keeping the stock ( internally wired !) Springer handlebars. Are the stock Springer risers gunna work ?

Thanks in advance from Australia gents

Also listed in "Suspension" topic threads , hope that's OK folks/mods , as this is really a "springer" specific question !

Well no replies ?

That's why I thought a post in the Springer specific thread was the "go to" place !

This has been done in Australia before , telescopic onto Springer AND Springer onto telescopic ( actually more common as it's a "custom" move!).

Well , got the 2007 and up forks and chrome triple trees with lower bearing. Very good condition , but not as "new' as I thought "new bike take off" should have been.

Got the 4 piston caliper and axle and front fender also. All "new bike take off" , but I suspect from more than one bike over the years

Got a 21 inch front wire wheel with smooth rim , new bike take off from the same bike(s).

Got the chrome FXSTC type headlight.

What's missing ?

Brake hoses , all the wheel spacers/washers etc etc . Top triple tree/steering head bearing , bearing spacers/washers , "C spanner" top nut.

Front wheel bearings/crush tube internal spacer and the brake disc

I'm trying to use the original front 18 inch CVO mag wheel and disc if I can , disc will need to be spaced right for the 4 piston caliper

That's probably the easy part...now the fun begins....

I was imagining the OEM CVO Springer mag wheel/disc will need to spaced left/right to suit the stock Softail 4 piston caliper

On the 2008 Springer the caliper is mounted on the left side ( when sitting on the bike !) and so is the Telescopic front end which may help

There's also the stock Softail 25mm axle and the Springer 3/4 axle to be overcome...
