I really want to add a better foam to my stock seat...does anyone have a seat builder they can recommend that can re-foam / re-build (if that is the right expression) my stock seat and keep the stock cover on?

LeRoy, Check with your local auto upholstery shop. Had Flynns Auto Trim 608-781-5515 do my 04 seeg. They took out 2" stock foam and added gel pack and memory foam for $75.00 and kept stock cover and a night and day difference over stock. Seat looked stock and you can save a bunch of coin over Corbin. Hope this helps [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I dont trust any of our local craftsman here with my o4 SEEG, lived here my whle life and have been dissapionted way too many times for that....How about some custom seat builders on the web???

Hey Leroy-

What part of the country are you in? Alligator Bob is located in Lakevilla IL. He put in my original pro pads and retained the stock cover. It really helped with sore ass issues!

There's actually a piece of thin styrofoam under the seat cover that, and the crappy foam is what makes our seats so terrible.

Since then, I recently had him refoam and recover my seat, backrests, king & chopped tour pack pads. He custom formed the seat to the tank and chasis. I ended up going all the way with exotic skins and tooled leather. Looks and feels awesome.

Yea try these guys.  Have done 5-6 seats. Love the stock look, hate the foam.  Sargents put in a "closed cell" foam.  Better than any "gel!"

Have stock '05 seat on both my "04 and "05 SEEG.
