2013 CUSE8 base gaskets leaking
« on: May 17, 2017, 03:10:08 PM »

My base gaskets below the jugs were seeping last year(Nov.). Took it in and got it fixed.  They are now leaking again. Not too happy about it. The dealership is doing the repair again, but thought I would post here and find out if there were any issues with this on 2013 110 motors.  I trust the dealership and they do good work, but its frustrating for sure.

I'm afraid to answer this.....don't want to jinx myself.  No problem on mine and I've pulled a trailer through Ariz. (twice) in triple digit temps.

However, it wasn't to many years before that when base gaskets weeping, seeping, etc. were not uncommon at all and I still hear about it from time to time. :nixweiss:

Being from AZ... Specifically from Yuma, where temps get to 120+.  I feel your pain.

Don't have an answer for you but that is one nice looking scoot.

I got a '13 with a 110 but I'm on the second motor and haven't had this issue with either. 23k on motor #1, 25k on #2.

I think I would rather have a base gasket issue, then replacing the motor.  :-X I asked them to make sure they are true this time, before just putting it back together.  Also, looks like Im going to have to replace the whole ECM.  While riding, it went into limp mode. Shut it off for 5 seconds and it was fine.  Replaced a relay that looked faulty, but did it again.  So going to replace the whole computer... Thank God for warranty.
