Tour Pak quick release kit vs. TP relocation kit.
« on: November 24, 2003, 11:22:01 PM »

Just got an email from Kuryaken.  They have a new tour pak relocation kit that allows you to move the trunk back 2".  It gives your passenger a little more room behind the riders backrest.

It does not work with the HD quick release kit, according to Kuryaken. :'(

Yeah, I've had this backordered from them since June. Supposed to ship in November, and here it is the 25th.
It gives a lot more room for the passenger when two-up.
I rigged my last Electra-Glide for the extra space, and my wife had me do the 2003 E-G till it arrives. It also makes it easier to throw your leg across.

Got another email......Kuryaken is not going to make a relocation kit that would be compatable with the HD quick release......no plans at all.   :(

Since we permantly mounted the tour pak and had the seat rebuilt they moved me back,  She said she didn't have a lot of room so I ordered the relocation kit from Kuryaken Part #1527 to move the tour pak back to give here more room.  [smiley=1syellow1.gif]

Scan an article [smiley=shocked2.gif] you know i'm not computer literate but will take it to work and have a friend scan it and then send it to you. Unless someone else is faster

How is that quick release kit?  Is it easy to install?  And what happens to the antenna when you take off the bag?  I like the way the EG looks without the tour pak but I use the tour pak on occasion.  I was considering getting the quick realease kit but I never seen it on anyone's bike.
