Stumble on take off
« on: June 02, 2017, 11:05:41 PM »

So I'm wondering if anybody else has this issue. Every once in a while if I don't rev the bike enough on take off it feels like it loads up like a two stroke. It clears out quickly and runs perfect after but it's annoying when it happens. I'm thinking it's a little rich off idle and if I bog it a little it loads up. Also from time to time it will backfire on start up. It runs awesome otherwise. It's very smooth and pulls strong from idle to red line. My other thought is the assist clutch is catching faster then it should and almost stalls the bike. It doesn't happen very often and it's never stalled. Thoughts? It was dynoed with a SE race tuner and has great numbers plus runs very smooth and steady low speed RPM's.

Take it back to the tuner and explain when it does it to them. The more info you give the tuner about the issue and when it occurs the easier it should be for them to clean it up in that area. Keep track of engine temp,  outside temp, rpm etc....

I'm thinking it's gas dependent, I had put 93 from an independent gas station and just switched back to shell. It seems to be running better all around.

Maybe some water in the indy's fuel?
