Legend vs New improved Stock shocks
« on: July 25, 2017, 01:16:44 PM »

Kept my set of 13" Legend Revo rear shocks from previous bike not sure if installing on new 2017 Street Glide CVO would be improvement, since the new stock rear system is better than the previous stock setups (2016 and prior). I'm ok with the current stock setup reluctant to go through the install if I don't have much to gain. Does anyone have any opinion if the Legend vs updated stock would be a plus? Any response, related to this, is appreciated.
Thanks

Changing out rear shocks involves only the removal and insertion of four bolts. I believe proper torque is 63-70 ft lb, and blue thread locker but check. Since shock quality is quite subjective, just give it a test.

Previous SG models had 12" shocks from the factory, but not sure if new SG does too.  If so, then those 13" will raise the rear and give a much smoother ride.  Depends on what you want.

You should try it...I'd bet the Legends may be an improvement.

The part numbers for the 2017 CVO Street Glide are for the low profile version of the new shocks, so yes, it has 12" shocks.
