T-Max & Autotune...bungs welded in wrong!
« on: February 25, 2007, 01:45:56 PM »

Well, I got my new RS575 cams installed, got the bike back together, installed the Thundermax and was getting ready to install the Auto Tune but I dorked up my SuperTrapp 2:1 headers by not marking the holes right for the bung install!  so now I don't know what I'm gonna do!?! I guess I will call Supertrapp tomorrow and see what a replacement header will set me back (suspect it will be quite a bit).

But, the cams and T-Max work fine, the T-Max really smoothed out the idle compared to the HD ECM...I think I'm gonna love it!

Randy, if you welded (or had them welded) the bungs on to begin with there's no reason to buy another set of pipes.  Just cut the bad bung off and weld the hole up.  Then reinstall a new bung in the right place.  Whomever welded the bung on to begin with should be able to weld up the hole.  Shouldn't be a big deal at all.
