Highly overcompensated CEO's and other executives should have to compete with their peers in the same third world countries they expect the peons in their companies to compete with. Somehow I think the way they embrace the "race to the bottom" would change drastically.
Btw, others have used temporary part time workers in the USA, Japan, etc., without destroying quality at the same time. This isn't the cause of the quality and reliability problems at H-D, that award goes to management (or lack thereof). And those other companies I'm talking about don't hire TPT workers at the same time they are cutting production, but rather use them for things like vacation replacements, periods of higher than normal demand versus hiring full time employees for a few months only to be laid off, etc.. For Harley to hire TPT's at the same time they are letting regular employees go and cutting production tells me the union has become completely worthless and management has sunk to new lows even for Harley.
