Alarm Module Hack.?
« on: April 25, 2018, 10:42:05 PM »

Years ago...    I had a Ultra that had the security system installed but to actual alarm module, no sound when activated.   There was a hack to go to Radio Shack and buy a $6.00 alarm module and wire it into the bike.. super easy as I recall.

Now I'm riding a 2018 Tri-Glide, how time flys...

It has security of course but no audio alarm...    Is there a current hack out there similar to those days of old...?

Thnx Guys & Gals

Thanks for the reply.

Since my post I dug a little deeper and found on Amazon this "hack" has been upgraded by someone with more free time than me with a plug and (2) alarm siren modules for a super loud scream...    For $30 it's a no-brain'r for me.

Just my .02 but the amount of electronics and the interconectivity of it all on modern vehicles I would be wary of putting any cheapo home made accessory into my electrical system since it can cause problems later on and especially with Harley warranties could be voided...........
I would spend the money to get the official H-D accessory and that way if something shorts out or causes problems it would be all on them.
