Audio Cable
« on: December 30, 2007, 10:08:54 PM »

I have searched the web for a 3.5mm 24 inch cable with 90 deg angle connectors on both ends.
I want to use it for my Ipod to plug into my radio .
Does anyone know where i can find these.
Thanks
 Dave

TC, where's that link again?

Dave, fear not.  There is such a thing.  Terry is the "keeper of the link."  He'll be along presently and enlighten us all.

I bought one of the cables to use with the 2820 also.  Couldn't believe that Radio Shed nor anyone else had a decent three foot-ish patch cord with 90 degree ends.  Something that seemed so likely to be common and cheap ended up costing almost a sawbuck if I remember correctly.

Oh well.....  It was TC's fault.  I didn't really know I needed until he pointed out his.

I guess I was fortunate then when I was gathering information on the purchasing a Zumo that was one of the things TC told me about. Didn't have any trial and error associated w/that. :2vrolijk_21:

With the standard straight cable stuck in the face of the radio
I could tell it wouldn`t be long before I nocked it sideways and
snapped it off or broke off in the  radio.

The 90s are more convenient Dave.  The straight connector on the radio wasn't that big a deal in the time I had it on.  Actually a bit more of a nuisance on the side of the GPS unit.  The 90s were better and did clean up the look a bit though.  So TC wasn't a total dick for making us spend the money for the cables....  ::)
