Carplay and a iPhone max?
« on: March 05, 2019, 02:18:26 AM »

I love my iPhone and carplay but where to put the iPone? I don't want it on the handlebar en it doesn't fit in the dash. I put it in the saddlebag like the Moco did with the iPod in earlier models. I used a 1.8m usb extension cord and a 1.2 meter rugged lightning cable and the connection under te saddle. I only had to drill a hole in the rear of the dash. Very long usb cables won't work so try first.
The holder is one used for running. I needed an extension piece to fit it around the cover

I was able to fit my IPhone XS max in the dash. I removed that foam liner and purchased a short cable with a 90° lightning end. I purchased it from MonoPrice. After removing it the foam, if you insert the IPhone just right, it will fit. I do take a another small piece of foam to kinda keep it from any marks that may come about from the vibrations while riding.
