Anyone removing lowers on a 2018 or 19?
« on: April 14, 2019, 08:34:59 PM »

I saw last year that someone was asking about removing the lowers and that the 2018 manual says not to. https://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=115114.msg1463630#msg1463630

Well, the 19 manual says not to. Anyone have any idea why?  Could it be bad to have power running to their amp with speakers removed?

Removing lowers with speakers

I posted in the Street Glide section and over at H-D forums (because there are tons of audiophiles over ther, it seems), but haven’t seen any responses.  I want to remove the lowers on my 19 CVO Street Glide, but don’t know if it will damage their amp since it would still have power but no speakers.  The owner’s manual says not to remove them, but doesn’t say why.  I don’t know if that is their CYA because the bike may handle differently or ?
