It's kind of hard to tell from the picture, but it appears the bike was shipped with the windshield loose.  This would confirm a point made in the 2007 paint thread regarding dealerships overtightening the windshield bolts and causing bubbles in the paint.

The windshield is not installed when they ship it.  I think this photo is after initial assembly was made.  I am having several mods done prior to pick up.  I am getting a trim piece installed on the fairing for the windshield, so they may not have cinched it tight.

BTW,  how can you tell from the picture?  Your eyes and computer screen are much better than mine.

Well...I didn't communicate very well.  What I meant to say by "loose" was "seperate".  In the 2007 paint thread there were complaints of the windshields being overtightened and bubbling the paint with the thinking that was happening at the factory, and a point was made that the windshields were being overtightened at the dealerships because the windshields are shipped "loose".  I am with you...I also will be installing the chrome strip and eliminating the issue.  What part of North Texas are you in?  I am in Dallas and my CUSE2 is due early June.
