I've never seen this before! NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycles. First Round Eliminations. 5 Red Light starts in a row! Including Andrew Hines! Hoist!

Even the amateurs at the local drag strip never put 5 reds in a row. What happened? Was it possible that the tree was faulty? What time of day did they start? Sun in the eyes? Something had to be wrong. Really unusual circumstances at a pro event.

The tree wasn't faulty. It happened from both lanes too! It had rained earlier and I just think they were hooking up better than expected and got great launches! But it was amazing. One after another! It would have been amusing if you weren't looking forward to the match races, like I was! Hoist!

It gets better than that! I didn't report everything. And it was 7 reds in the first round! There were 7 red lights in the 1st round:

Treble won this race in 2002 and was runner up in 2003. This is Guidra's 40th round of competition, and he holds a two to one advantage over Treble in head to head match ups. Treble is out of the gate first and takes the win.

We start this round with green light starts and Rivas is out of the gate first and never looked back for the win.

Treble with a great light and has a great looking pass to move into the next round. He will have lane choice over Rivas in the semifinals.

Bradford turned on the red light and Sampey with another nice pass and she will have lane choice over Treble in the final. She has big top end speed and she has the fastest pass of the weekend.

Sampey holds a 17 to 10 advantage in head to head match ups, but Treble holds a four to one advantage in final round head to head match ups and the only time she beat him in a final was here in 2003.

Treble with a big starting line advantage, but then slows and Sampey has the difference made up by 330 feet. She wins this event for the second year in a row.and she is the point leader
