Sorry to hear about your accident.  I crashed mine back in September and I am still waiting for a new front fender.  I don't expect it for at least another month.  We repaired locally what we could but the fender was too crumpled to be repaired locally.  Repair what you can and if you need any painted pieces, order them as soon as possible.

Sorry to hear about you scuffing up the scooter.  Never a pleasant happening.  Can't tell from your profile what state you're in, but some states require the insurance companies to forward a report declaring salvage or rebuild on the title.  Your don't want either one.  Good luck!

Thanks all, anyone have any experience with dairyland/sentry insurance?  The adjuster is recommending totalling the bike, based on the insurances 50% guidlines, total repair is $16K.  Bent frame.  Just trying to see what my options are when the insurance company calls me next week.  I like the orange and black colors and would like to have the bike fixed, plus bought the extented warranty.  Thanks

Roadrunner.....If your insurance is talking total, they are probably talking about replacement cost and/or locating a new scoot.  There are still a few Orange 04's around and you might be able to do a straight replacement.  Your extended warranty "cashes out" with the balance returned to you about 4 weeks after your dealer requests the refund.

Good luck and if you need to replace the bike I'll  bet that with all the talent on this site that a new or extremely low mile "pumpkin" can be located.

They will reimburse you for the extended warranty in most cases. If your bike has 16K in visible damage it is hurt. Harley will ship a frame with the correct vin number stamped on it but the dealer doing the repairs will have to cut the neck out of your damaged one and return it. All this will take a long time. Let them total it, they will pay you based on ACV. You should come out O.K. Just be sure and get paid for your warranty, any clothes damaged, glasses, helments etc. Get all your parts invoices you bought together and make copies for the adjustor, be calm, don't make stupid demands. The bike is the small loss, any injuries you have are the LARGE loss. Minor injuries to you should make for easy settling of the bike loss. Good luck, you are dealing with a Good company, just be glad it isn't Progressive.
