My Bro Animal I've mentioned down in Daytona has a 113" S&S motor. He's been going through starters even though I've told him a dozen times he needs a high output model. My question today is twofold 1st, will the stock Hi-po starter on our CVO's fit his 1997 model S&S. It has an Evo Softail Primary case. And if it will, has anyone replaced their stock black unit with a chrome one and is interested in selling the black one ?

B, let me know if it fits. I'm thinking about going chrome.

The application listed in the Accessory Catalog on page 458 says '94 to '06 Softail and Touring, '94 to '05 Dyna and '99 to 00 FXR models.

The '06 and later Dyna and '07 and later BT starters will not fit the earlier machines.
