Question about jm audio
« on: April 04, 2023, 10:56:37 PM »

A good friend of mine has a 2012cvo street glide with a JM Rokker amp and their speakers in the fairing, tweeters, lowers and 5x7s in the bags. This piece of crap system constantly goes out into protection mode then eventually comes back on.  He sent this garbage amp back to them to be tested and they said it was perfectly fine. I gave him a pair of speakers I had lying around, he put those in the lowers. Made no difference and it still went out. I personally would never by this trash from JM, but does anyone have any ideas to try to fix this?  Thanks in advance if anyone can tell me what to say to my buddy without telling him to throw that JM stuff in the dumpster.  Stuart.

On my 2012 CVO StreetGlide with stock audio system,  sometimes it would turn on but no sound.
Would pull off the road, shut off the bike wait and restart,  this happened enough that I added it to my weekly complaint list for warranty service.
The dealer did a reflash on the head unit and that fixed it.
Not saying that is your friends issue but an idea.

He also added an after market radio. I think Kenwood. Has the connection for the stock cables and connections. Sorry. I forgot to mention.
