I think when you look at the description in the catalog, the only application it lists is that funky add-on handlebar mounted radio for the Road Kings, but it works on the SEEG radio, too.

Thanks guys. I am sorry for not having been on for so long.

Did I see a post somewhere that shows a picture of a cable that plugs into the front auxiliary input socket but neatly wired by squeezing the cable out of the fairing where the radio unit slots in? Or is there another way of getting the MP3 hooked up to the stereo?

Is the post about adding an auxiliary input socket on the rear of the stereo unit relevant or is this much simpler than that?

Regards

Tony, originally, I zip tied the wiring along the brake line and into the fairing, then out underneath the radio and into the auxiliary jack on the front of the radio.  It worked absolutely fine that way, but over the winter, with Jim's (hd-dude's) help, I placed a jack in the rear of the radio to clean up the look a little.

Details of all that can be found in this thread: http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=7674.0

Hey General,

I just realised it is you. Glad to read that you are still around and haven't sold the flying bannana. It didn't seem right unless you were funding an ultra SEEG!

Where does you friend with the SEEG MP3 player live?

Cheers

Yea, and they stated that the Harley Road Tech handle bar mounted XM radio would not work on my wifes bike either.  But I am here to tell you that with the Autocom system I installed it works great!

 :thinking2: :thinking2: :thinking2: :thinking2: :thinking2: :thinking2: :thinking2: :thinking2: :thinking2: :thinking2:

What I should have said is that the dealer did state that "Harley said that the MP3 player was not compatible".

Just thought that should set the record straight.

Anyway the stereo is out, modified and going back to the dealer for re-installation.

I have had one of my engineers at work break into the cabling and drill a 2nd socket onto the rear of the stereo head unit as per the pictures posted by 103Thunder. I am just waiting for Preston HD to complete the install. By the way they have a SEUC coming in without a name against it. they also have a SE Springer & a SE FX in stock.

Lets meet one Sunday!
