Pan America as a police bike.

Wonder why Harley did not introduce a Police version of the Pan America?  Seems it would be a very good platform for it.

That is a good question.  The Pan America is much quicker and has a much higher top end than the touring bikes Harley uses as police bikes.

While I was discussing the new trike with a dealer GM a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned the new Road Glide Police bike.  He said that's not the ONLY police bike Harley is offering.  He said that the Pan America will also be available as a police bike.  I've not asked any other dealer GM the same question, so for now, it seems there "might" be one in the wings.
