Did you catch it now has a 117 VVT M8.  Also new suspension front and rear.  Rear is now a type of independent suspension.  Front has been tuned to work with it.

First of all, thank you for starting a new CVO Street Glide 3 Limited group!!!

Dave, I've been following the leaks and release of the new trikes.  I got confirmation from my dealer GM that my order is in, and I am going with the Citrus Heat Tri-Tone with the black out.  You are right, it is just a bit black...  I think the Citrus Heat would look good with the lighter Electric Coast Two-Tone blue/silver wheels.

There are many new items for the trikes in general.  All get the new rear and front suspension upgrades.  The non-CVO trikes are updated with the VVT 117" motors and the CVO gets the VVT 121" motor.  The other CVO two-wheelers get the 121" HO motors and are rated at around nine more hp.  They get their peak power at higher rpms, and the trike will do better with the VVT motors for a more all-around torque/power application.

I think I've watched about every release of videos on the new 2026 bikes, focusing mainly on CVO's.

The second phase of CVO releases will be in April, but with a BIG push from my GM, hopefully I can get one of the ones in production now.

I'll post when I do.

With all of the NEW STUFF, I've chosen to get the 5-year extended service contract, giving me 7-years total.  I might not live long enough to see the end of that... :)  I see no issues with the de-dion rear suspension.  It's really no different in wheel contact and arc than an older solid axle car from the 80's.  BUT... with the differential solid in the frame to lighten the un-sprung weight, in this case 68# over the older Harley solid axle.  Going total independent has MANY MORE moving parts and the wear factor of the de-dion is way less!!!

My GM spent half a day riding both CVO trikes and said that he was happy with everything and wouldn't change a thing.  He also said that the ride is NIGHT & DAY better than the '24/pre trikes.

I do have a question though.  I have some dealer only specs for all of the new 2026 models and I'm looking for what I would call the line specs of a vehicle.  I know it has cruise control, but nowhere can I find a listing of ALL of the standard spec/features.  Harley's website is greatly lacking in information.

Can anyone help with a link to some specs etc???

Thanks, Dan

I have the 121 VVT CVO Road Glide and have road the 121 CVO ST with out the VVT.  VVT makes for a better touring biker.  VVT torque comes on earlier, a flatter torque curve.  Very good engine, and good smooth power for touring.  the 121 HO in the ST like higher rpms, quite a bit higher.  I't a good fit for a bike that is suppose to be a performance bagger.

I would love to have the ST and make a real hot rod out of it.  For me its not a bike I would want to tour on.

The 11211 will be a very nice fit in your trike.  I'm sure you will be happy with it.

Dave,

I was talking to the service manager about one of the options they list in Build & Price.  Vortex Extreme Air Cleaner (Black)

It comes with the Screamin' Eagle Pro Street Tuner and the Screamin' Eagle Vortex Extreme Air Cleaner.  Not a big fan of the air cleaner and you lose the BIG identifying 121 on the breather cover.  If you have a 121, tell people... :)

Anyway, I'm planning on de-catting the catalytic converter and going with a set of Fullsac baffles.  I'm thinking the Pro Tuner that Harley will warranty, would add just a bit more to my exhaust changes.  While talking with the service manager, I asked if the Pro Tuner raised the rpm limit?  He said that he thinks not.  The non VVT 121 has a rev limit around 5800, or about.  He said that the VVT motor has a rev limit around 4800, or about.

On your VVT 121, what was your recollection of the rev limit?  All I have to reference to is my, now sold, '09 SERG.  I had a Fullsac dyno proven TTS MasterTune map and their 2" baffles.  It raised the rev limit to 6200, and on occasion, I would hit that.  I can't imagine having just a 4800 rev limit with all this NEW ADDED hp.

Can you share some of your experiences please?

Thanks, Dan

I have the Heavy Breather extreme on mine, and I did loose the 121 on air cleaner.

Hopefully you can do the Fullsac baffles with the trike.  For the 2023.5 and newer CVO's instead of 3 tack welds holding the baffle in, it is welded all the way around.  According to Steve its almost impossible to get the baffle out with out ruining the muffler housing.  I am running TAB boom sticks 4" with one quite baffle and one zombie baffle.  Both Zombie was too loud, both quite was two quite.

The VVT rev limit is a lot higher than 4800.  Power starts to fall off a little over 5000 RPM.  I believe it is between 5600 and 5800 rpm.  Tach shows 5600.

I do not see where the HD tuner will let you raise the rev limiter, or remove the governor.  It keeps the bike EPA compliant.  TTS tuner has the ability to do everything.  This includes wide band tuning and VE tables.  Power Vision will so most everything except wide band tuning.  They say it is coming soon.

WOW Dave, welded all around will be tough... :(  I might have to try though.

Without having access to a Dyno Jet-1, the one with the capability to dyno trikes, "IF" I do a tuner, it will need to be a "self-tune" type.  I believe the Harley Pro-Tune is a self-tuner to a degree, within EPA of course.

The new stock CVO air cleaner with the huge 121 on it, looks very nice, but is a power hog.  I saw a video yesterday about a 2-wheeler CVO 121 VVT that the guy dyno'd before taking off the air cleaner and then without the air cleaner.  He was running a tuner of some sort and was hooked up on the PC.  The stock CVO air cleaner cost the bike 11 hp!!!!!  The air cleaner he went with still dropped some hp, but only 2.5 hp.  When he was done with the tune and adding the new air cleaner AND slip-ons, he went from 104 hp stock, up to 124 hp.  That's a VERY good return on a Stage I upgrade.

So, I'm thinking a new air cleaner, HD Pro-Tuner and Fullsac baffles or some type of slip on, will be a seat of the pants improvement, for sure!  HD shows in the Build & Price an option for the Vortex air cleaner and tuner.  But when I go to the P&A area on the website, they say NO, does not fit the new '26 CVO 3.  I'll have to do more research, for sure.

On the trike, mid to high 5,000's for rpm limit should not be an issue.  I'm sure that will work out just fine.

Thanks for your input from personal experience!

Thanks, Dan

Yes the stock air cleaner doesn't flow well at all.  The Extreme Heavy Breather like on mine is close to zero loss.  It is recommended on built bikes.

The M8 responds very well to minor upgrades.  It is much easier and less costly to get power out of a M8.  Gains from just a cam on a M8 would take more than that on a twin cam.

Many time Harley says something will not fit but it does.
