Thundermax Starting ?

I have a good friend with a Tmax on his 110" CVO. Which starts pretty good when it is cold, But after riding for an hour or so yesterday in 80 plus temps 2 up.
 the bike would hardly turn over, and almost did not start
    Would this warrant a IAC adjustment, or could it be the ACR not working?
In case of the IAC adj, Please explain???
