Looking for road conditions
« on: February 20, 2011, 03:07:22 PM »

We are planning a route from IA to and through ID. As I plan our route I am in question about some of the roads we would like to ride. Can anyone tell me if NF-24/ Garden Vally Road/Banks Lowman Road (Hwy 55 to Hwy 21)  is paved or is it gravel? Or is it a road to travel with a MC?

I am not sure completely Supershooter but I believe with about 99% certainty that NF24 is a gravel Forest Service road. Hwy 21 is a good paved road, I've ridden it several times and the scenery is awesome. I am sure you are thinking NF24 to get over to Hwy 55 so you can head up north (my way maybe?) but I think your best bet is to go into Boise then up. I'll ask around and see what I can find out for you.
