While this is my first post on your CVO forum, I'm not new to Harley. I've been on other forums depending on the bike I had.
My '07CVO also had the same clutch problem. The Dealer also told me it would wear-in. This is how I solved it. I started with a proper bleed, no luck. I also had the problem on my CVO V-Rod, so I used that experience on this bike. It may sound a little strange, but it works. I increased the lever stroke, which cured about 75% of the dragging. I pulled the clutch lever off and put a very small piece of brass flat stock (.018" thick) under the plastic housing that holds the lever roller in place. It needs to be very small and sit only in the very bottom of the roller slot. You can cut .018" with plain scissors. Once in place it won't fall out, but just in case, I put a dab of red locktite under it and replaced the roller and plastic housing into the lever.
Second, I use Amsoil in the primary; it noticeably smooths clutch action without reducing clamping force.
Third, I use Redline "Shock Proof - Heavy" in the transmission; it quiets and smooths the tranny, it also just about eliminates the 5th gear whine. With all three, the drive train works great! Most of you probably already know about Amsoil and Redline.
My bike has only 1300 miles on it. Perhaps the clutch will loosen up and perhaps it won't. I can always remove the shim later, but in the meantime, I can shift easily.
