:nervous: don't even talk bout giving away part of my family Chief!!  :o

I'm A-okay with the longer rides.... no worries here. I just always assume we'll just get home "at some point"  :huepfenlol2:

That's pretty much the same response I'd get if Pinkie got wind of that. I'd be in the dog house for sure.

I can always get her goat by pretending to aim for squirrels. It's good for a slap to the back of the head. Avoiding those little suckers ain't easy.

Why can't they just make up their mind and go one way and stick with it?

A short ride is always one that leaves you wanting more at the end.

BECAUSE, they know furry animal lovers will brake and watch them frolic, and get to where they are going, all that much more pleased with the world due to the twitcher tail magic putting a smile on our face. Right Pinkie?? RIGHT???  :P

Chief??? You got her a goat??? *jealous*  :D

*makes a note* Slaps to the head acceptable when furry friends are in jeopardy!

Don and Candy,  and others interested...    ;)  (but in response to the specific questions)

Don: The wifey said " damn, your eyes focus a lot closer now.  You should do that more often.."  I think that was in response to the thousand yard stare that I'de been sporting for a while.

Don: The GPS performed wonderfully.  It readily told me where I was, and it graciously told how to get to where I needed to be.  It also identified available fuel, which became an issue when I ran out trying to find my way over a set of mountains that I decided to get creative about crossing in the Tahoe area....  (I ended up getting a couple of gallons of fuel from the tractor being used by the group of migrant workers who overtook my position as they were clearing a ditch that I was parked next to....)

Candy:  oh boy.  Here's the deal....  it's kind of like losing a close family member for the victim.  You go from being "somebody", to being "one of those people".  Add to that any and all of the issues that have been buried for years from any and all combat type induced mental health issues that suddenly have free reign to roam, and no one of similar background to bounce things around with, and the sudden influx of spare time, and the sudden appearance of  "total lack of supervision", and.....   well, you see what I mean.  For me, it's been more of a process, precipitated by an occurance, that I am slowly but surely learning to control.    This might be a good thread all by itself!

Id kinda like to see that thread..i weigh that thought in my head now and again ( OK EVERY day this week)  :nixweiss: and am curous about life on the other side....
those who have been there wanna share?

Sounds like a satisfactory ride Breeze, in about every conceivable way.  Congrats man.  Congrats.  Rides like that have those long solitary stretches punctuated by wide vistas and the engine's continual thrum that do kind of allow loose or random thoughts and memories to roll around a bit.  The difference, at least for me, has always been that when they start rolling around in places like bars or crowds they might get me in trouble.  When they roll around while on a ride they eventually roll on out of my head and fall behind me on the road someplace.  There is a reason to ride farther than across town to the market.

After I ride hard and fast for like three minutes, I need an eight hour nap, then I'm ready for ride two. Wanna see my big guns now?
