Wild1 bars
« on: April 27, 2009, 11:32:40 AM »

Hi first post in this Forum did a search and couldn't find anything so here is my question!

I am going to change the bars on my wifes 08 FXDSE2 to the Wild1 CHUBBY® 8.5 APE #WO513.
Has anyone here done that and what cables and lines did you have to go with?

Went back , did another search and then went to each one......You were correct no info for our model!

Maybe we will get an answer soon, if we keep talking back and forth, this thread will always be on top!!!!!

There will be more information here soon on the swap from the stock bars on a 08 FXDSE2 to the Wild1 WO513
(Baby Apes).
I got the old bars off, and have the new ones in place! Looks like everything will need to be 6 inches longer. The harness plugs for all the bar wiring are in a cavity in the top frame tube just behind the neck. Will post pictures and more information as it becomes available.

And another!
All the cables had to be 6" over. Wiring is the bars was lengthened 6" as well.
The windshield is from Clearview shields and is a 23.5" We live out in the country and ride a lot at night so keeping the bugs out of the face is more important than looking cool. ;D
