Finally cleaned out my flsh drive. Here are some rolling Rolling Thunder pictures.
This one is with a very special passenger. He is a US Army Ranger, John C. who signed away his VA benefits for the day to be able to ride in the parade. He was shot 7 months ago in Iraq and is completely paralyzed in his left leg and recuperating at Walter Reid Army Hospital. He rode with me for hours with the biggest grin on his face. He wants a Harley once he recovers. First time ever on a motorcycle!

That's a day that young man will talk about forever. It was nice that you could do that for him.

Probably an injury waiver Scot.  Those things the boys occasionally get asked to live with when they want to do things outside Uncle Sam's willingness to be responsible for.

Buddy,  not only did you ride in the Rolling Thunder ride, for which I commend you, but you did a huge service to take this very special passenger with you.  Thank you so very much for doing this.  How did you get the idea?  Fantastic effort.   :cherry:

I just volunteered. I'm going to attend the picnic at Walter Reid this Sunday with some RT members I know. It's really inspiring to be around these kids, seeing their positive attitudes while they deal with amputations, major trauma etc and still maintain their positive outlook on life. Makes my problems seem insignificant.
