Windshield Bag
« on: July 12, 2007, 03:05:37 PM »

Just got my SERK. I had this nifty little windshield bag on my WG that held garage door opener, sun glasses, etc. The SERK windshield is different and HD says there isn't a bag to fit it. I know someone on here must have figured this out by now, so Help.

Not that this a perfect solution, but I have a RK quick lift off converted to my old '76 FLH and while in Sturgis last summer I bought a Boss Bags windshield bag.  I have the full studded Mustang seat and Boss Bags so the Boss Bag was not a problem for me.  I put two rubber buttons on teh lower corners to keep it from maring the inside of the windshield.

These don't show off the bag much, but you can see it in both pictures.  Check them out online, not sure what their website is, but Boss Bags is the name.

Good luck.

ad2,

Several of us have dumped the stock sheild, and are either using a standard RK detachable windshield, or are using the standard hardware and some aftermarket shield (Clearview).  Once you switch to the standard 5 hold hardware, you can use most any bag you want.

Later,
Ghost

i just bent the plate inside the hd windshield bag enough so that the ends clear the acorn nuts...really doesn't look that bad ...only because the ws is dark enough you don't notice it from front as you would with a clear ws
