Kuryakyn LED inserts for front signals
« on: July 15, 2007, 01:40:44 PM »

Anybody use these on their bikes...

Perhaps the whole Panacea scheme is just too busy for your lean, mean sled. You like the additional light provided by the Panacea's L.E.D.s, but the two-color turn signals and amber arrow in the taillight are a bit much. Have no fear! We can give you the extra light you want with our straightforward, plug-in L.E.D. Taillight and Turn Signal Conversions. Easily installed, our inserts replace stock incandescent bulbs.
Our L.E.D. Conversions for incandescent taillights are as easy to install as changing a bulb. We mount our L.E.D. circuit boards inside our stylized lenses so all you have to do is take off your boring stock lens, remove the bulb, plug our connector into the socket and install our lens.
These amber or smoke lens inserts plug right into the stock housings and function as both running lights and turn signals.

4836   //  $109.99   _ORDER NOW

Front L.E.D. Conversions - New Bullet Style, Amber Lens
Fits '02-'07 FXST (all), '00-'07 Deuce, '02-'07 FLSTF/S, '04-'07 FLTRI, FLHRS, & FLHTCSE, '01 FXDX/T and all '02-'07 Dyna and XL.

..I am thinking of these or the smoke ones for the Ultra.

Any opinions? :)

Also, best place to order from?

Yep, have them on the 05 and am ordering them from Zanotti's tomorrow
for the 06......front and rear.  The front turn signals are not all that brite
compared to the old but the rear ones are, especially with the
panacea run/brake tail light.  I bought a bunch of stuff from Tim at
Zanotti's last week....great to deal with.  They have to order the Kuryakyn
parts though but you still get the good discount.
Do it.

Thanks for the info :2vrolijk_21:.  I have not used Zanotti's, but it sounds like it may be time to give them a try.

Just bought the amber set up.  Should look great.

I still think that Harley should put these babies on at build...especially on the CVO bikes.

Another alternative is to get the LED array from Custom Dynamics...they have a plug and play turn signal replacement for the stock bulb for both the rear and the front.  Very bright!!  Does not include the lenses.  I have the visor style smoked lenses on my bike from HD and the CD LED's work just fine with them.

I too have the Custom Dynamics LED arrays (front and rear). Great people to deal with. The LED's are very high quality, cost less, fit properly behind the HD lens and are, as TC said, VERY bright!  :cool26:

Check out the Eagle Eye II at superlumination.  These lamps use 3w LEDs and are the brightest 1156/1157 available.

thanks TC, but I already plopped down the bucks for the Kuryakyn, but I do think I will hit the Custom Dynamics folks up for the LED strip for the back of the tourpak.  Is there a specific page to go to on their site for that "light bar".  I saw an earlier thread where you highly recommended it.

Thanks,

John

Look under the HD lights, then flexible LED strips.  It's the 14.7 inch strip.  They offer it in several configurations now.  The strip really makes a difference in the visibility for the back of the bike because it's up higher, IMO.

The load equalizer I got with the Custom LED turn signals hooked up under the seat just about where the backrest bracket would be....it's just a plug and play.  The LED's draw so littel current, the system thinks one of the bulbs is burned out, thus the fast blinking, so the LE is necessary for proper operation.

Was the install hard?

Thanks Terry.

Was the install hard?

Very, very simple.  The Custom Dynamics LE came with the proper plugs, so it was just take the seat off, locate the wiring harness going to the tailight/turn signals, unplug, and plug the thing in.  It's about the size of a matchbox, so takes up very little room.  I just wiretied it to the harness.  Takes about 10 minutes, counting cycling the lights to make it all work right.
