Hard Bags For SE Fat Boy??
« on: June 19, 2007, 07:00:52 PM »

After going from a Road King to a SE Fat Boy I am in dire need of bags.
I have been thinking of going with Hard Bags, but want to stay close to the CVO theme and color scheme.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

http://www.cyclevisions.com/bagger-tail.html They sold me most of my mods for my bike. There in San Diego, CA but will ship anywhere. You can also find this item in JP Cycles Catalog. Cheers!

I just can't agree here, I was going to put hard bags on mine with project fatboy till I made the decision of getting a seeg. I wanted the bags for long trips but after putting 17k on the softail I had to just come to the conclusion that a softail is best for wind in your face short rides and the seeg was best for me for the 500+ miles a day. Now that I have both bikes I usually ride the fatboy when it really get hot or my wife rides it when we go together and the bike looks good just stripped down with no windshield. I may still put bags on it but I will put roadking bags on it because the wife may want to go on some intermediate rides next year.

The hard bags give the softail a very unique look but to put either the hard harley bags or roadking bags on with the original sefb seat is a challenge and I don't know of anyone that makes brackets to bolt on including cyclevissions setup. With my current job I just didn't have the time to finish project fatglide but heres a pic.

and heres a link to the thread.http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=5740.0;topicseen

Here's the look I was initially going for and if you have deep pockets this bike is probably still available.

Here's a link http://hdtrader.com/display/picture.asp?year1=&year2=&year=&sku=53094&modelID=1018

I guess everyone has there own opinion of what they want or what look there going for. I will say this is an expensive look and will get plenty of gawkers in the parking lot.
