Man, if they enforce that one alone, they can gold plate the roof of every governmental building in the whole state.

Agreed, good catch. Although, none of these seemed to outrageous. Unlike the new laws in VA.

Friend of mine was issued a citation for an out-of-date license in the city of Roswell.  The license was three days out-of-date and had been renewed when he went to the town hall.  The guy in front of him at town hall was given a $750 fine for the same event.  That guy paid his fine.  When my friend walked up, he gave them the citation number and she stated that will be $750.  He said, "Well I guess you are going to have to lock me up because I do not have $750!"  He explained the conditions and told her "I need to speak with your supervisor."  She went into another room and came back with this reply, "How does $50 sound?"

Paid in full!!!  A very true story.

Yea, LOL, I was ok until I saw that $285 for not using hands-free cell. I'm sure it would have been ALL over the news and papers if it were true. I got a bit skeptical after that.

I hear ya...it just so happens that the guy I am referring to is the son of a lawyer and did two years of law school.

I tried to reduce a fine on a speeding ticket one time and it ended up costing me more money.  Go figure.
