Best Slip Ons
« on: August 31, 2007, 09:13:31 AM »

I have an 08 serk and I would like to have a much deeper, louder exhaust note.  I would appreciate anyone's advice so I can make the most informed choice.  I really don't want to replace the entire system, since it would cost more and I can easily change out the mufflers myself.  I will look into a sert or other programmer when they become available.  Thanks.

Don't do anything until ECM mods are available for the '08's. Once that occurs, you have many choices depending on your tolerance for sound and performance. Check the Exhaust Section for write-ups on various exhaust systems for your future choices. I wouldn't think about it until you get a tuning device installed. Even if you don'y change anything, your bike needs a tuning device to correct the stock tuning setup, which is unacceptable in the real world!

Good luck with your new bike and enjoy the site!
