A moment for reflection
« on: September 11, 2007, 05:43:52 AM »

Six years ago today our world was changed by the terrible events in NYC and Washington D. C. I think it well to take a moment to remember the lives lost both on that day as well as in our response to it. Regardless of anything else, God Bless America.

Thanks buddy, great post.  God Bless Us All!

I tried and tried to come up with a good reason not to have to go into a government building today, but couldn't really come up with a good one.  This day, even six years later, still has a big impact on our lives.

A sad day to allways remember, but it did galvanize the country , and change the perspective many had of the brave folks in the military, and police and fire depts and realize just how vital they are to our everyday lives.

My thoughts go to the familys that lost loved ones. And our brave men and women who serve our country to give the yellow belly punks the right to bad mouth them, they make me sick to my stomach.

I think about the sick feeling in my gut all the time and how numb I was in front of the TV for hours watching Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw, and Peter Jennings do the best they could for 20 hours straight.  I was amazed at the patriotism displayed and how all pledged retribution.  What happened to that?  Aren't we still on the same mission?  I hope our efforts across the pond keep anything like that from ever happening again here.  God bless our volunteers!
