Which dealer did you order from, Simi or Ventura?  I ask only because I'd like to see an anniversary before you take it out the door.

Unfortunately neither.  I would always opt to work with my local dealers.  Simi is 4 miles from my home and Ventura is 12 miles away.  I like Jan and Mickey at Ventura and Craig, Dave and Andy over at Simi.  The only thing that prevented me from doing the business on the bike at either store is their pricing policy - they want $3-5K over MSRP.  I won't pay over MSRP (even though the set-up/freight is in effect paying over, but that is virtually unavoidable almost at every dealer), but I'll never be opposed to their right to try.  I'm just not a player.

I'll be heading up north to Mitchell's HD in Modesto.  Not only have they been professional and a pleasure to work with so far (George and Lidia), they sell at MSRP plus a reasonable set-up/freight charge.  I have heard nothing but positive things about Mitchell's, so we will looking forward to driving up to get the bike in a couple days.  If you still haven't seen one after I get back, please send me a PM and I'll be happy to meet you down at one of the shops.

  Congrats,  mine and my buddy Bob's were to ship today 9-25; however, we have not had confirmation yet.  Hopefully tomorrow.

Congrats again,  our bikes have not shipped yet. Both of our dealers went on the HD web site today and thay still show 9-25 ship date; however, no VIN or ship notification has been sent over??
