King Backrest question
« on: March 31, 2005, 06:10:15 PM »

I bought a brand new color matched king tourpak and the 04 backrest , the stuff came in and I noticed that the backrest is made only for the chopped tourpak... the problem is that there is a substantial gap between the bottom of the tourpak backrest and the stock seat.... does anybody who uses the king pak and stock seat and backrest have any issues with comfort for the passenger with this setup?

I have not bolted it on yet I am still putting the rear docking points on so I cant tell if it will be uncomfortable or not.

LeRoy there is quite a bit of distance between the stock seat and the King Tour Pack backrest.  I have the stock seat and the Comfort Stitch (that comes on the Ultra Classic) but I've never rode my wife on the stock seat........she refuses.  And you know the deal.....if mama ain't happy ain't nobody happy. I recently installed the king tour pack with a stock back rest and my girl friend commented that it is more comfortable than the chopped tour pack. She said it was higher and in a better position on her back.

I have a king tour pack for my 04 with the Ultra style bacckrest that matches the Road Zeplin seat.  This for long distance, two-up, touring.  Much of the time I'm run on  the stock seat, stock driver, and passenger back rest.

My wife only complains if I go to fast, did I forget to say its an ORANGE one? [smiley=laugh.gif]
