Has any one tried to add turn/down turn/outs to the stock 4" srceaming eagle pipes that are on all CVO bikes 2006 to 2008 and if so what part numbers were used ? I ordered the turn/downs without any problem, but Harley Davidson failed to have an adapter that allows you to complete the installation ( both exhaust and turn/down have a 4" outside diamiter).

Not sure if you can change the tips on the stock exhaust :nixweiss:  I changed from the stock exhaust to V&H before I rode my bike home.  I had the turnout tips on my 02 Ultra, but I also had the Screamin Eagle slip-on mufflers which are designed to accept a variety of tips.
My guess is that you will have to change mufflers if you want the ability to change tips.
