I have just replaced my HD (Garmin Quest 2) with a Zumo 550 and I love it. I looked in to quite a few before buying the Zumo and I never found anyone that had one that didn't like it.

I've not read all the threads about these things, but is the Zumo series waterproof, or water resistant?

Thanks

Waterproof, even if dropped into shallow water and completely submersed.  No problem with rain...

Zumo 550 as others have suggested. The only problem that I had when I first purchased the Zumo 550 is when I would set a route and the GPS told me to turn, I would hesitate at times and not listen to the GPS since I was certain that the GPS was wrong. It was difficult, but I have learned to be prepared to follow directions given to me by the Zumo 550 when I set up routes. It is also great if you are just out riding and exploring new roads - you will always know where your are. It is simple to plug it into your vehicle and use it there too. Plug in a location and you can when view when your expected arrival time is to your destination. This is especially useful when you are on vacation and the kids ask "when will we get there"!

What is the real or the biggest difference between the Zumo 450 against 500 and 550?

Thanks,

Jorge
