It's not all tax additions either.  Stuff there is just EXPENSIVE too.  In ways not wholly justified by having to ship it in either.  Everyone has simply gotten used to it I guess.

Just curious if the Chinese slap American companies with outrageous import taxes compared to what our government charges them to export to here?

It's unbelievable what some of these dealers are charging for these bikes. I, unfortunately work for a dealer that charges $1k over list and I don't agree with that. There should be a rev-limiter on these masterminds that dream up these prices.

Things are no better in the land down under, either.  07 CUSE (blue) $65k.  Current exchange is about 0.88 US to 1.00 Aus!!!

Have been to that H-D dealer in Singapore, also sometimes stopping in at other dealers in other countries.  Often, the dealership is located in the midst of pricey car dealerships... BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, etc.  Indeed, in many countries, H-D is viewed as an exotic, ultra expensive vehicle, much more so than in the States.

I guess highest price must be in Turkey.CUSE 3 will be 55.000 euros wich is about 80.000 us right?Were the same way with cars.Probably most expensive country for motor vehicles.By the way MoCo prices bikes differently according to market.So euro riders dont expect to benefit from strong euro dollar parity.Heres a price tag for the Smurf in Faak er See in Austria this fall.
