Bluetooth Helmet to Helmet Intercom
« on: March 08, 2007, 12:37:22 PM »

Anyone using one?  I'd like to find one that doesn't require a cell phone, etc. Any feedback would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Here's the one that I'm considering.  It does NOT require any cellphone, etc.  Again, any feedback is appreciated.

Range is too short Ernie.  My helmet has a bluetooth module.  A buddy here had a different setup than mine but they would link up together.  So we screwed around with them one afternoon.  It actually worked.  But you had to stay within 15 to 20 feet of each other.  That got very tiresome to maintain even over the short run.  Not practical as an all day gig.  For rider and passenger it'd be fine (depending on how long the batteries stayed up).  But for two bikes it's problematic.
