Electrical Gremlin Solved in my '06 Haze
« on: December 15, 2007, 05:15:19 PM »

MY '06 Haze had this weird problem. ON start up and other times, the bike would start just fine run for about 30 seconds the tach would stop at 1100 RPM and then just go to zero  both the security light and the engine light would come on. The bike would run fine except no Tach and if you were rolling the speedo would both go away. I lived with it because it was very intermittent. finally go ttired of it and took in to N. Texas Harley and Rob pulled 22  codes out of the speedo, then proceeded to change out  Ecm, Tssm, battery , worked just fine until I picked it up last Saturday and Damned if it didn't do it again. Rob called Harley Monday and  by Friday after talking to Harley's wiring guy/Engineer  and changing out different things they finally figured out it was the RADIO.. ..Who'd of thought....I posted this so that if anyone has this issue, may be able to unplug the radio and see if that  fixes it>>> Hats off to the Guys at North Texas HD.......
