Thanks for your speedy reply,
When you say "locked" are you saying that a carrier tech has to key something in to unlock?
or are you saying that different companies use different makes of phones?
If it make orientated, I was thinking on the line of the Motorola Razr. It is one that my carrier has and is also the same line as my current Motorola V220.
The reason I'm skipping the re-contract is They told me if I wish to continue to check my e-mail, it will cost my current monthly rate, plus $40.00 for both my phone and my wifes phone to have the ability to check my e-mail . I can't see spending $80.00 more a month for 18 or 24 months just to use Bluetooth for Zumo/Cell phone. I know the phone will cost me more without the contract, but, man, they have gotten greedy. I've had a cell phone since 1994 and have always written new contracts and got an updated phone with this same company from day one. I added a phone for my wife around 1998. I've never been late on a payment. I'm a model customer, but they don't seem to care if I walk or not. That's why I wasn't in a hurry to re-write a contract. I did check with a couple other carriers and they tell me the same story, $80.00 more a month, in fact they told me it was a law under the FCC. right!
But in the mean time I went and got myself addicted to e-mail and cell usage! lol
I need a fix! lol
