Good Friends Headstone
« on: February 27, 2010, 09:40:55 PM »

Had a good friend pass away last June, his wife finally got the headstone on the grave this week, he was a Goldwing rider who never met a stranger.  Anthony could fix anything at anytime for anyone, all he wanted was a smile that he shared with all.

  Very genuine and nicely done.

Sorry for the loss of your friend.  He was young.  Was it work related?

No, he had a concrete company and during a slow day, he decided to spend the day clearing ground around his kids house with a bobcat.  Worked hard in the high heat and after about 4 or 5 hours stopped went in to rest.  Two hours later told his wife his chest had been hurting for most of the day, refused to let her call the squad (he was an EMT himself) told her to drive him to the hospital instead.  Made it there, but in less than an hour he was gone, had an irregular heartbeat that they could not get under control.

Lessons learned man do not take chances, if it hurts check it out, call the squad, do not take a leasure drive.

Sure do miss him, he was our narrator on rides, man knew every place and every body.  This will be his first year not at Daytona in close to 20 years.

"Call the squad."  Great advice for all to heed!

August, 1989, my Dad drove himself to the ER after enduring a long night of chest pain.  By the time he arrived and received treatment, severe damage had occured.  He underwent bypass, valve repair and received a pace-maker.  It was enough to keep him with us until January 9, 2000. But, had he received immediate care the prognosis would have been far better.

Thanks Jo Mo, you know whats strange about the whole thing is Anthony loved purple LED's, I swear when I go out at night I see a star with a purple tint to it up in the east, I have gotten to the point I give it a thumbs up and talk to it.  I think my neighbors will start locking their doors a lot earlier if they hear methey certainly will think the neighbor is a nut job.
