Hey gang. I know you've all been very generous when it comes to helping our Bros in need. But GH's dad's passing had me thinking. So I was talking to some others, and we all agree that sending flowers is a big waste of money. Then we thought that donating to the Leukemia Society in his name would be an effective gesture. But I know for a fact that we barely made a dent in his mother's financial situation. She's been financially burdened by this whole ordeal. GH is is way to proud and thankful for what we've done for his family already, and I know he won't say a damn thing more about it. So I will!

Please, if you can find it in your hearts to reach into your pockets one more time, I'm collecting anything anyone can offer to continue to assist his mom with her expenses during these trying times. So I respectfully ask that anyone who thought about sending flowers or donating to some sort of charity in his honor, to please reconsider. I'll be taking donations at Don's PayPal to present to his Mom in the name of all from this great site, that can afford in any way to help her out.

Please send anything you desire to:

rider@theamericanroad.us

Please leave me your names and any comments you'd like to offer. I'll be collecting for the next 2 weeks, and send it on to GH in all our names, along with every comment ya'll have offered. You people have always been awesome about these kinda things in the past. I know you've already offered help to him in the past. But I also know that GH had an awful time even asking the first time. So anyone that can, please give with your hearts one more time, to help a fellow member's family that can REALLY use it!!!

Thanks so much for reading this and for all ya'll's consideration. This great site has many powers. Let's use our collective power to make an impact on our brother's family once again! Bless ya'll for considering this, and for your kindness and thoughts as well! :2vrolijk_21:

Not sure how I missed this thread until now. Guess too much goin' on!!! Not only do I not have the words but I have also been warned not to feel a need to thank you guys & gals. Well to hell with that. Your assistance could not possibly be appreciated more. Your a thoughtful bunch that's for sure. This riding season was short for me for obvious reasons but it is our intent to make the GTG's next year and personally meet my friends here that I haven't already.

I really wonder if Neal realizes what he's created here. A special thanks to you Neal.

Howie

There should still be more coming from Sean's pins also.  So while none of it is big $$$ by itself. Hopefully it'll total up to something that makes a difference for her.

I was past break even before I left last week - every coin sold at this point is all gravy!  I will document all the final expenses in a spread when this is all done to show all of you what we are giving to Howies mom.

Would do this again for Wounded Warriors in a heartbeat...

We should think bigger! What could we do that would be sustainable with no extra work by Sean or anyone else? What about an all service commemorative veterans tribute coin?
