headlight modulator
« on: January 29, 2008, 01:06:08 PM »

I am considering installing a headlight modulator on my 2008 SE Ultra.  Does anyone know the type of bulb and the wattage for the high beam?  I looked in the owners manual and it just gave me a Harley part number.

I have bought 3 from www.Kisantech.com
Call and tell them the bike you have and they will ship you the right one.  It's plug and play no splicing.
Good luck

It appears that the high beam and low beam bulbs both come on at the same time when I switch to high beam on the 2008 SE  Ultra.  I noticed that the Kisan Modulator only modulates the high beam bulb.  Since the low beam bulb is also on does this significantly affect the performance of the modulator?

You can ignore the VA part of the DOC. The Federal part will apply you should carry a copy of this with you if you intend to use it. Some officers are not aware of the fact that they are legal and will stop you just to chat about it.

All it does is give you a false sense of security, the cars will pull out in front of you anyway, they do it to firtrucks and ambulances all the time because the just didn't see them.

You need to ride aware all the time. However its okay it's your choice to use it I have no problem with your choice.

Would rather do HID upgrade than a modulator.  They might or might not really see the modulator or flashing lights (all sorts of contradictory data on that).  You definitely will see better with HID.  Since our light to begin with is so poor that's an upgrade really worth doing.
