L.E.D. Why Wait?
« Reply #16 on: January 15, 2008, 09:17:17 PM »

People,

Why wait for LED's and have them now. For the last 6 months I have had triple LEDS on the rears to fend off the cell talkers. I even had room to install a pulse module inside the tombstone to flash the rears for 3 seconds. Got all the stuff at custom dynamics. The turns are "dynamic clusters" which are a ring of amber LED's on the outside for turn signals and all red LED's in the middle. The fit right inside the billet turn. So you get 3 brake lights that flash to warn of braking. The tombstone LED is just a red cluster with a pigtail that I mounted on a bracket to set it back a little so it would fit and give a more uniform glow.  I would also highly recommend the Xeon headlamp for high and low beams. I was like night and day. I did these mods early on as I figured it was all in the name of safety. Well, I am still here so far so good. Let me guess, you want pics right? Well, if I get around to it I will with some requests.

Now all leds off. I tried to get an inside shot of the install but forgot that the mount bolts are under the fender. Too much of a PIA. The wiring is a PIA from the turns to the tombstone if you do it neat by 1.drill small hole in the reflector to  access the wiring in the rear. 2. follow the wiring out the same hole in the rear along the same path as the original install. Use some heat shrink tubing to make it neat. Also use a stiff wire to puncture or pull the wiring thru the OEM grommets.

Here is the parts list from custom dynamics

1 Universal Flasher/Stobe  6104-00

1 Amber/Red H-D Bullet Turn Signal Conversion Kit  RADBU03
2001 & Newer Softail, Dyna, FL Touring (BT803(?) this is the load equalizer and must be for the new SERK!) -(For front and rear LED's )

1 Radiantz 1.25" LED Cluster  RAD125CLUSTER -this is the tombstone LED
  Red, Pigtail 1157 Base 3204-12
