Well I had them order the one I show here. Now I can have blue lighting instead of red. Nige, you gotta wait until yours croaks now! Hoist!
Is it just me or do others have this question too?
If it's dark enough to have your lights on and see your speedo back lighting, it's too dark to see any color on the bike. If it's light enough to see the color of the bike, you won't see your speedo light.
So what difference does it make,,,, really...
I do like to the different colors of car / truck back lighting, but I've never associated the dash color with the vehicle color. Dan
At the time I wrote my response to Hoist, I hadn't quite gotten the whole enchilada CVO thing.
Hoist, for my somewhat rude comment about thinking you were a bit too vain about the speedo backlight color and your bike color, I apologize.
On my own new '08 SERK Annie that comes with raised gas cap and fuel gauge, I now have upgraded to flush gas cap and flush mounted gas gauge. As most of you already know, the H-D parts counter gauge sets come with BLUE LED's, not the RED LED's that come with the factory installed flush gauges.
So I find myself in quite a conundrum, I have bitch slapped Hoist for this and now I'm wanting to do the same thing. I think this is a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
I now have miss matching red speedo backlighting and bright blue LED's on my gas gauge.......
And I'm not crazy about it!!!!!I thought I read somewhere that somebody had an originally installed red gauge and wanted to have blue, which I would be more than willing to switch out with them.
If there is an easy solution for this, I'd like to find it.
Sorry Hoist.......
