Road Tech™ Electronic Compass
« on: February 16, 2008, 09:27:41 PM »

Has anyone installed the HD Road Tech Compass? PN -74498-05
They show in in the catalog in the touring fairing in the same spot as the useless Air temp gauge.

Well yeah....  The 110s have their oil going all over the place.  You need a oil GPS to keep track of it all :huepfenlol2: !

Thanks for the links Dude, a GPS is on the list , just looking for something more useful than the  air temp gauge . The consensus certainly leans towards the oil temp gauge .

I replaced the useless 'weather' gauge with an oil temp gauge.
My SEUC has a compass built in with the GPS on the radio. GPS isn't very good, but the compass shows on the radio display even when the GPS is off...

Nidan, if you do decide to dump the rain gauge and add the instrument for oil temp be sure and check the site history for an installation discussion.  The method Harley describes in the literature with the instrument is much more difficult than it needs to be.
