Not so sure about shape and sizing.

Don't know if my feet are "normal' or not. But, The round toe on the insole made it a little tough to get into the boot.

This pair is a size large, shoe size 8.5 - 9.5. I wear a size 8, 8.5 or 9, depending on the brand. I think they are too long, and the shape at the toe made it difficult to get in the boots. Boots size depends on the brand. The three I tried the insoles in were all the same "labeled" size but are physically different.

I had a hard time getting them into my FXRG boots, as the tongue is sewn to the sides about two thirds up. Once in they were uncomfortable to point I would not be able to use them.
FXRG boots are narrow for their size.

A second pair of Harley boots (made by Wolverine) the insoles were a tight fit but they did mange i get inside the boot.
Third is my Walmart special, my favorites. These boots are "sized" smaller and are fairly wide. The insoles fit the best in these. The wire coming up along you ankle did not seem unfordable.

I tried them in three different boots

Wouldn't you need a sep. thermostat for the inner soles?   :nixweiss: spyder

The re-sizing is limited to the 3 sizes you see here.

*************************************

What you can;t read is the "size cut line"
8.5, 9 & 9.5 (no cut)

Would it be better to order a size smaller to be sure they fit, then?  And the wire coming up by your ankle is : 'what' ?  spyder

Well Spy, they only one sample at the NYC bike show, so I couldn't measure.

I would looking at eh cut line and looking at how the pad fits under my foot, then yes, a size smaller.
This pair is the large. I normally were between an 8 to a 9, depending on the shoe.

The wire is for the heating element, kind of feel like a shoelace stuck in your shoe.

Yes.

Or you piggyback the insoles to some other gear, maybe the gloves.

It would be trial and error as to what you share. I only used my heated pants once, they were just too warm (27 degree day) under my leather coveralls. So had I hooked the socks I was wearing that day to the pants either my legs would have been too warm or my feet cold.

I have the Gerbing double thermostat in my dash and I use a portable one for a third output.

Have a separate thermostat for my wife. She got a set of heated gear off the discount rack with my chrome cash  :nix weiss:

Thanks for the info. I generally wear 9 to 9 1/2 wide depending on the boot. Have you tried measuring them up against any regular drop in foot beds that you have? They are the ones that normally comes with new boots. I just stepped on a ruler and my feet measure 10" and my boot liners measure 11" is that pretty close to what you have? How long are those electric inserts? Maybe we can get a few measurements from different guys and swap them out between us so we can all get the right fit. I just hate having bunched up socks and underwear. I solved the underwear bunching by purchasing some that Bicyclist use that have no seams, I think they were made by LD Comfort, not sure but they work really well. It sounds like the heated insoles are the way I want to go, I don't need wires rubbing against my feet.

Thanks
